  • Awareness-raising about the importance and role of women in society, violence, and ways to fight against it.
  • Orientation on an international day for the elimination of violence against women (25th Nov)

  • Dialogue and discussion about how people can eliminate violence against women in society
  • Recording short video clips and taking photos.

Brief outline of key issues and challenges addressed in the event

 

 The issues addressed included:

1.     The event and especially the awareness-raising efforts helped both female and male participants to understand the importance and key role of women in society from different points of view and bolded their Islamic rights to clarify how women and girls should be treated by men.

2.     The women and girls found a good chance to discuss their challenges and concerns within their daily life. 

3.     It also put the participants in a bigger picture of what the project team is doing to eliminate violence against women and how they could empower women and girls to defend their basic rights.

4.     The only challenge for the conduction of the program was a lack of enough space for keeping a social distance of participants. However, we had to split the time and number of participants in the morning and afternoon so that we can save more space. 

Remarks
  • During the program, all participants particularly the females were given masks so that they may agree for taking pictures or any other document.
  • Refreshment was distributed among all participants.

Brief outline of key issues and challenges addressed in the event

 

 The issues addressed included:

  • On December 8, 2020, WISE Badghis celebrated the 16 days of activism on Badghis conference hall for 20 men and the director of WISE talked about the negative impact of violence on children and the role of men in mitigation of violence. Played a video. As well as the PSS counselor talked about the role of the male in creating a better life venture for experiencing a better life without violence.
  • The program Manager talked about the mission of the organization and its duty and responsibility to take important steps to eliminate and reduce violence against women through various programs that are in line with the morals of our Islamic and humane society. On this occasion, the Institute for WISE by supporting TDH by the close cooperation of DoWA with the global slogan (Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect) celebrated this day.  November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which is celebrated in all countries and various programs are named to create a better environment for women to stay away from violence. We hope that no human being will be abused and that the oppressed women on earth will no longer experience violence.
  • PSS counselor talked about why this day is celebrated which is aimed at preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls, will focus on ways to finding the gaps and identify the ways on prevention of violence that can improve life-saving services for women and girls.
  • Based on the agenda, the three participants read poetry programs and appropriate articles on the elimination of violence, that highly appreciated by the audience.
  • The attorney general thanked the program for the eradication of violence, said that I am happy that participated in this day as I see new women and good issues discussed the eradication of violence, and it was new to all participants.
  • At the end of the program, the director of women’s affairs concluded the program and thanked the WISE and TDH and the conduction of such an important event.
  • Due to the cold water, late coming of some high authorized invitees the program started 30 minutes later.
Remarks
  • Mask distributed to all participants and all women were very happy that the even was particularly conducted for female and women.
  • Refreshment was distributed among all participants.
